Established in 1999, Bali Health Foundation, also referred to as Yakeba, is a non-governmental organization with a focus on public health issues. The primary purpose of the organization is to provide outreach and support for individuals in Bali who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction.

10906294_10204179985518727_Denpasar (01/11/2015), In order to celebrate World AIDS Day, which is celebrated on 1 December each year the Bali Health Foundation (Yakeba) held Bali Positive Festival. At first the activities of Bali Positive festival is held on December 28, 2015 and postponed on January 4, 2015 at Kuta Beach in front of the Hard Rock Hotel Bali Kuta beach but due to circumstances that do not support the activities of the Bali Positive festival is held in the Market Beringkit Mengwi on January 11, 2015.

Bali Psitive Festival activities are held in cooperation of the National AIDS Commission (KPA) Badung, Badung District Health Office, Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana (PKBI) is selling mineral water for public at Pasar Beringkit Badung Mengwi district that result from these sales are used to help programs combating and prevention of HIV / AIDS in Bali. Heading from Bali Positive Festival event is “Water for Positive”.

Positive has many meanings but the positive sense of the word that has been circulating in the community is the one who exposed the HIV virus. Bali Positive Festival invited everyone to do positive activities. Being positive is not only owned by their only those who has been exposed by HIV virus. But also those who do not or have not been exposed by HIV virus. Bali Positive Festival is an event that invites all levels of society to think and act positive, including Positive thinking towards life, towards others, be it against people living with HIV AIDS (PLWHA) or the public.

Bali Positive Festival was succeeding by Beringkit market bustling atmosphere on Sunday. The event selling mineral water and shared media Information Education Communication (IEC) as well to the public, organized mobile activities Voluntary Counseling Testing (VCT) by Community Health Center (Puskesmas) I Mengwi. Total of 21 people are join this VCT which aims to determine whether he was exposed to the HIV virus or not.

Positive activities planned Bali The festival will we do on a regular basis each year. Events Bali Positive Festival plans we would do again in March with events and entertainment bigger. A total of 190 bottles of mineral water sold in Bali Positive Festival held and funds collected as much as Rp. 950,000. Although not much but we’ve been doing positive things to help control programs and the prevention of HIV / AIDS in Bali.
